When a Flame Becomes a Raging Fire
I share this not from a political perspective, but as a believer broken for this generation. I see a world that now more than ever needs the love of Christ. But who will go? We can only go if we are sent, and to be sent, we must first be made in the Secret Place of His Presence. Oh, that the real would arise, shine.
Do we see a lost and broken generation? If so, what is our response? Will we bow to intimidation and fear? Or rise and shine! Will be preached His truth dripping with His love? Will we join arms as brothers and sisters in Christ, and in love, be the Church?
A tipping point: the critical point in a situation, process, or system beyond which a significant and often unstoppable effect or change takes place.
When you look, and all you see is a flame, it can be discouraging. When the train begins to pull off from the station, even the slightest obstacle can stop it. But there is a point where momentum is achieved, and you move to the tipping point.
As we stand for revival, in a pre-revival season, you will begin to see believers burdened and praying. Small groups here and there, and occasional small revivals that help provoke more believers to pray. The whole thing appears weak and could fail at any moment.
But when God has purposed something and His people catch His heart and pray, the Lord begins to move. Often, the final spark comes from historical events or leaders who carry the mantle, and suddenly, the tipping point is reached.
On 9/10, we saw Charlie Kirk murdered in cold blood. No matter what side of the political aisle you stand on, murder is murder. A man, a husband, and a father, was killed because people disagreed with him. But what makes this hour so bad is not only that people agreed with his murder, but they celebrate it. I can only imagine the outrage if one celebrated the death of certain other people.
“Then those from the people, tribes, tongues, and nations, will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into the graves. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.”
Revelation 11: 9, 10
If you wonder how close we are to the Tribulation Period, just look around at the hearts of people. I have read these verses most of my life and could never imagine people so evil.
At the same time, we have witnessed something remarkable worldwide: believers and non-believers coming together to march and pray. I saw estimates that the actual numbers in Britain were in the millions. People from every race, color, and nation, burdened to pray. Oh, I remember the 70s and the incredible things that happened then, and I cry, “Do it again, Lord!”
A world that has lost its sense of value, purpose, and place needs Him. Something broke in the spirit, and many are sensing it. For those who have listened to me or attended my services, you will know how, for the last number of weeks, I have been called to pray with a renewed intensity because the Lord said we are on the verge of something.
Somehow, believers all over the world felt a stirring, and suddenly, many shook off complacency and understood they had to make a stand and pray. My heart’s cry is that we will see another great move of God before the Tribulation. I am broken for people and know what is coming. I desire that none should perish but all come to know Him. I wish I could accurately paint the joy of knowing Him and what He did in my life. He has forever reckoned this man, and all I can do is live for Him.
I pray this is the beginning of that final move and His people once again seek His face.
But as I was praying, the Lord warned me that it was a two-edged sword. There are times when God turns up and He offends us. The two witnesses will absolutely offend the people.
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My Name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. “
Matthew 24: 9, 10
With every great move of God, judgment followed. If we are on the verge of the greatest move of God, then the greatest judgment is at our doors. Think about the ministry of Jesus, and yet, John the Baptist warned they were on the verge of judgment, and it came.
We must understand that if we do see a mighty move on one hand, on the other hand, we will see the greatest persecution and separation. The Lord has promised a final separation: the tares and the wheat, and the ten virgins.
Jesus warned that the Tribulation Period would be so evil and perilous that it would be unlike any other time in history. So, it is time for us to judge our love walk.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13: 34, 35
These words Jesus spoke just hours before He was betrayed, tried, and then crucified. What will define the church of the final hour?
He did not suggest we love or recommend that we love, but commanded us to love. Further, He set the standard by which we are to love, as He loved. So may we repent of our wrong attitudes and being captured by possessions? May we humble ourselves, renouncing the ways of the world and its narrative, and choose to rise and follow Him.
I say this with no malice or hatred, but a sincere love. My only agenda is to lift up Christ that all might be drawn on to Him. Do we hear the heartbeat of Heaven and the Father’s cry, “Souls of Jesus!” Or are we too busy with life? Will we, like Esther, discern the hour, be broken by His love, and, dripping with that love, reach the backsliders and the lost?
Do we love people enough to stand up for truth and do everything in our power to share it with them in a way that’s filled with love? Or will we miss our moment to shine? In the Secret Place of His Presence, we must present ourselves before the Perfect One and allow Him, with His perfect standards, to correct, refine, and restore us. Then with a heart of flesh, let us be broken for this generation standing that He might have mercy on them, and as many as is possible would come to know His love truly. But let us remember, we can only give what we have, so let us receive from the heart of the Master and the treasury of His heart, His proven love, that we may be shining lights, flames that come together and cause a raging fire.
