The Final Countdown
The world of yesterday is gone, and it is like we woke up in a bad dream. Everything has changed and not in a good way. I you didn’t have Jesus, and you appreciated fully what is happening, it would be terrifying.
If you were to go back in time to the days of Noah prior to the Flood, we can only imagine what Noah was thinking. The loss of all humanity was a better option then the violence and darkness of the hour. We can easily see that the Lord God had to rescue Lot and his family from that generation.
We are told it was so bad that the Lord repented of making mankind.
“So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.”
Genesis 6: 12
The word in Hebrew for corrupt is “shachath,” meaning to decay, spoiled, corrupted, ruined, perverted, and to destroy. As we read these definitions, we can see the spirit of that hour was a destructive spirit that so damaged everything and impaired the quality that the whole of Creation was in danger. Today, that same spirit is seen in operation.
We see that the enemy was destroying everything from the genome of humans and animals through to the moral and spiritual climate. We know that the fallen angels had taken women and birthed giants through them. These giants were demonic and violent. Fear covered the earth, and it was clear that the future was indeed bleak.
“The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.”
Genesis 6: 11
The Hebrew word for full implies that there was an abundance or it had reached the stage of being at the fullness. We know that the fallen angels had super intelligence and taught men many things include war. Today we have the rise of AI, a super intelligence once again on the earth.
What is interesting that the word for terror used here is ‘hamas,” and as the Word explains there is nothing new under the sun and what has been will be again.
Now, Jesus warned us that prior to His coming the earth once again would be exactly like the days of Noah. Looking at this hour, it is hard to fully describe all that man is doing and the true darkness of this hour. We are told that what is coming will be the darkest hour in all history, past, present, and into eternity.
The hour continues to get darker and everything is changing fast, but in the wrong direction.
“But know this. That in the last days perilous times will come:”
2 Timothy 3: 1
A better translation of this verse would be that in the final days of the Church Age very difficult to endure days will come.
What we have witnessed in the las few years has been hard to fully grasp. If we go back to the Days of Noah, the angels that fell knew the truth and yet rejected it. Today we are seeing today a generation experiencing the same.
We see just as Jesus and Paul warned, lawlessness increasing everywhere. Further, the nations that once were enlightened during the reformation and saw great moves of God, today are experiencing Islamic terrorism and the abundance of lawlessness. History is repeating itself. Once again, a people who not alone did they know the truth but saw the power of it, now reject it and denounce it. Consequently, we see a hardening of hearts.
Heaven warns us:
“And even now the ax is laid to the root of the tree. Therefore every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown in the fire…His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
Matthew 3: 10, 12
Remember what Paul said:
“Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, IF YOU CONTINUE in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.”
Romans 12: 22 Emphasis Added
We see a rapid rise in antisemitism and following behind it, an anti-Christian storm growing. Today we see fake news which seeks to manipulate current thought, but we also see fake history, which seeks to change the trajectory of nations. Christianity, which has so powerfully blessed the world and shaped Western nations, is now painted as the source of all current problems.
Further, as Isaiah warned:
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
Isaiah 5: 20
We watch in the news as the victim is declared the problem and the abuser, the innocent party. Today, just like in the days of Noah, we see the giants preaching that what is evil is good, and good is evil. Leaders can lie to your face without concern because they can control the media and ensure all support their narrative. Sometimes it boggles the mind what they present as truth and despite everything confirming it is false, people believe it. It is not about truth but hearing a narrative that agrees with your opinions and what it politically correct.
