Kathryn Kuhlman- The Power of Abiding in the The Secret Place

Luke 18: 1-8

We do not know how much we need God. If you know how much you need God, you will always be in an attitude of prayer.

You are supposed to rub the name of Jesus Christ into your spirit and heart like a vehicle engine rubs with oil.

If you don’t know how much you need Jesus in small things, you will not know how much you need him to settle your case or situation.

If you don’t know how much you need Jesus Christ in small things, you won’t know how much you need him to settle your cases or situations such as affliction, hardship, career failure, stagnation, joblessness, marital challenges, sickness and diseases. These are situations people are facing today.

There is no way you can reach or climb to the seventh step of a ladder without starting from the first steps of the ladder. It is not possible to jump onto step seven of a ladder without starting from the first step. The challenge we are facing is that we believe that we don’t need the Holy Spirit to walk, talk, and do other things. Consistently praying in our hearts without ceasing is the way out.

You say that you are a Christian, but without consistently praying in your heart, without praying without ceasing, you are deceiving yourselves. Consistently praying in your heart without ceasing, in hymns, spiritual songs, and making melodies in your heart to the Lord.

Keeping your heart busy with songs, melodies, and hymns will drive demons and Satan out of your life. Leaving your heart idle attracts all kinds of thoughts and suggestions from Satan.

You must be rubbing your heart with prayer, spiritual songs, hymns, and melodies. You have to keep your heart arrest on your side. Run your heart with the name Jesus Christ, the word of God. Constantly praying in your heart without ceasing, in hymns, spiritual songs, and making melodies to the Lord.

A break in prayer is a break in faith, and a break in faith is a break with God. When you know how much you need God, you will pray without ceasing.

Prayer is the master key. Prayer is not about closing your eyes or shouting. Prayer is the thing of the heart. It is the heartbeat of contact with the Holy Spirit.

Some of the problems you are facing today are issues you were supposed to deal with a long time ago in the name of Jesus Christ. Not by looking for or running after human or earthly help, which is a postponement of the evil days.

But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you declare a blessing upon me.” There is a time to be left alone. Sometimes you will not be left alone. God will ensure you are left alone. The Bible says that after Lot was separated from Abraham, God spoke to Abraham. It is a time to be left alone. Jacob was left alone in order to hear from God.

Jacob said, “I will not let you go until you bless me.” You have prevailed with God, says the man. We must prevail with God through prayer, melodies in our hearts, hymns, and spiritual songs. The man who wrestles with Jacob is God.

He was alone with God. Quiet time with God is very important in our journey in the ministry.

He made supplication unto God and prevailed. He prevailed! He was God’s destiny. God’s destiny passed all over him.
