Smith Wigglesworth – Let the Real Prophets Come Forth

One of the greatest gifts God has given is true prophets. They can be a critical voice for the Lord in perilous times. They can break open the Heavens and see the fire of the Lord fall. They can bring revival to a nation and end an assignment of the enemy. But sadly, too many false or fleshly prophets steal from the Body the blessing the Lord had intended.

Further, all of us may sometimes flow prophetically as we abide in the Secret Place. All prophets and prophecies come from the Secret Place of His Presence.

If we are to see a true breakthrough and our loved ones serving the Lord, then we must have the prophetic word of the Secret Place, which can speak to the dead, dry bones of a generation lost in rebellion and cause them to become spiritually alive. We need the vision of Heaven for our families, loved ones, and nation.

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

Jeremiah 33: 3

Here in the Secret Place, we meet the One who can speak to the dry bones and they live, who can declare things that be not and they are. Yes, we must hear His voice, for only He has the words that change everything. His Word, spoken to us, lifts us into the realm of the impossible. Smith Wigglesworth explained:

“The prophet’s message is a word of the Lord that has become a burden upon the soul or a fire shut up in the bones, a burden, a pent-up fire, and anguish and a travail. The Word of the Lord is a living flame- the symbol of Pentecost is a tongue of fire.”

True prophets have learned to linger longer in the Secret Place and to be fully broken. We need the prophetic vision found in the treasury of the Father’s heart spoken into our lives. His Word of declaration and promise makes us make history. Our we willing to touch the all consuming fire of His Presence so that we might be changed, lifted, and released into His glorious purpose for our lives?

“As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations) in the Presence of Him whom he believed- God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what as spoken, ‘So shall your descendants be.”

Romans 4: 17, 18

As Abraham learned to stand in the Presence of the One, he believed in and heard His prophetic declaration; it produced in him a hope that was greater than his natural hope. This prophetic promise called things that were not as though they were made by Abraham and brought forth precisely what the Lord desired. You can’t manufacture a hope that endures the storm; it must come from the Word and from the prophetic declarations of the Father.

Smith explained:

“Jeremiah had spoken his message, he felt that God had let him down and exposed him to ridicule and mockery. He would speak no more, but in the silence the fire burnt in his bones. He was full of the fury of the Lord until he was prostrate withholding himself in. The fire consumed him until he could no longer hold, until one day the fire suddenly leapt forth in forked lightning, or a flaming sword.”

As we abide in the Secret Place and attend to our ears to hear Him and His voice, His words become a fire in our bones. Oh, like all those Secret Place dwellers who hear the voice of Heaven, we sound crazy, and we are mocked that we think that maybe we should remain quiet. But His words are a fire burning inside us, consuming us until we speak out.

Smith then added:

“The moment comes when the prophet is full of the power of the Spirit of the Lord or to declare unto Jacob his transgression and Israel his sin. The fire constrains and consumes him and his generation persecute and despise his word.”

The true prophets of the Secret Place bring forth Heaven’s correction and the Holy One’s heart cry to bring us repentance so that we might be holy. We must seek the prophetic word of the Lord in the Secret Place, which must be released on the earth.

Smith added:

“The Lord came to bring fire. He was straightened in Spirit but it was accomplished. So is every man who brings fire. There is a brooding- questioning, reasoning, excusing- hoping foreboding. The whole being is consumed. The very marrow burns. Speech may not or must not or will not come. Then in a moment suddenly it flames out. He becomes a voice through which another speaks. Fire compels attention, it announced itself and you don’t have to advertise a fire. When the fire comes, the multitude comes.”

The prophetic voice of the Secret Place shakes a nation like it did through John the Baptist. It releases a fresh move of God, delivers people out of darkness, and loses prophetic destinies. True prophets of the Secret Place are broken vessels who walk humble and holy before the Lord God and are consumed in holy fear. He makes such voices in the Secret Place, and they bring forth the fresh Bread of His Presence. Their words are life, but they are also fire and correction. Such prophets have pressed in to touch the fire of the Lord our God, and they have been consumed by it.

The words of Heaven come with clarity, power and His holiness.

Smith said:

“Life is given, he that heareth my Words and believeth on Him that sent me hath everlasting life. We need the Spirit, to be filled with prophetic power to bring forth to the needs of the people, life. This is life, I am perceiving that I must be so in this order.”

Jesus warned us that many false prophets would arise in these Last Days, and He declared:

“Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves…Therefore by their fruits you will know them….Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name, cast out demons in Your Name, and done many wonders in Your Name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.”

Matthew 7: 15, 20, 22-23

We know that the coming of the antichrist is through lawlessness, so these false prophets have the heart of the antichrist. They are not defined by abiding in the deep waters of the Secret Place of His Presence and know Him and are known by Him. These false prophets bring forth words of their brain tissue desires and label them as the Lord’s, but they don’t know the holy intimacy with Him. They bring forth from the fire of their flesh, not the fire of the Lord.

Smith explained:

“God wants everyone without exception, to begin on the Word of God, and to act I will be the most surprising thing that ever came, as you stand on the Word it will be an amazing thing.”

Here in the Secret Place, we discover the living, breathing, and abiding Word of Power. It is also a holy Word, and all who carry this Word must also become holy. In the Secret Place, we must learn to surrender and allow every fiber of our being to be dissolved and consumed in Him as the Holy Spirit floods our whole being.

Smith added:

“It is no little thing to be baptized, it is the promise of the Father, Jesus must be there, and the Holy Ghost also bringing us to the place where we can be baptized. Are you going to treat it as a great thing, what do you really believe it is? I believe when the Holy Ghost comes that He comes to crown the King.”

The true prophet walks as one in whom Jesus is truly crowned Lord and King in every part. They refuse to bring forth anything that is not the pure word of the Lord or anything that would offend Heaven. Such people forged and made in the fire of His Presence have a now word of life for every person. It is the right word that brings the chains of the enemy and loses all bondages. It is a word that releases the resource of Heaven so that every need is met, and all declare that we have met with the Lord.

Smith explained:

“May God bend your ears down, there is a hearing of Faith, a much higher Faith, may the Lord bend our ears.”

He also added:

God ministered through daring to believe His Word. There are cases round about you, and what a story you would have to tell next year if only people took a stand on the Word of God tonight.”

Will we dare to press in and touch the fire of His holiness and Presence today? Will we hear the call to come close but also recognize that all who draw near to him must consider Him holy?  May today be the end and the beginning of all things.

Smith said:

“You say that is our power. No it is His power, no it is the Father you have received. Dare we be still and be quiet, the stones would cry out if we did.
